Connor has already signed up for Langston Hughes. I don't know if Homer is the best choice either, Tia, but if you truly are interested in Homer, I'll allow it, of course. Please choose someone else besides Langston Hughes though for both of you.

New Choices for Joshua:
1)Frank O'Hara
2)Wallace Stevens
3)Mary Swenson

I've heard of Mary before and I also heard that she has some really interesting poems. Is this true or do you think I should pick someone else since my outlook towards her is absent?

Josh, I don't know much about Mary Swenson. Is she a local poet? If you have heard of her before and you think her poetry is interesting, you should look into her work more.

You could also check out May Swenson. Here is some info on her:
Ranked by Harold Bloom as one of the twentieth century’s three best women poets, MAY SWENSON (1913—1989) was born in Logan, Utah, but spent most of her adult life in New York City. Active as an editor, teacher and critic, she also translated Swedish poetry and wrote many poems for children. Her particular gift was for close observation and sensuous, imagistic description of the physical world. From 1980 to 1989 she acted as Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets.

Let me know what you think,

hey guys or ms peifer whats the password for the central2 data base thing .. do you know what I'm talking about if not I'll try and remember to ask tomorrow

Amber,
It depends on which database you are trying to use. Look at your syllabus for the database but change the numbers to match this year (07-08 instead of 06-07). See if that works. If not, I'll double check it tomorrow.
